Welcome to Lake & Park School
In a Nutshell
Our approach to the elementary grades puts basic skills within a meaningful context of intellectual depth and breadth supported by out-in-the-field explorations.
A sky’s the limit thematic curriculum makes room for topics near and far and enriches the daily experience.
The arts and sciences are an integral part of all we do.
World language and English language word study combine with an appreciation of poetry and drama to comprise a comprehensive program of the language arts.
Our beginning programs emphasize play, the essential tool of learning and growing.
A high value is placed on physical fitness and the outdoors throughout all the seasons and grades.
Lake and Park School
We are an elementary school in the Mount Baker neighborhood of Seattle, founded in 2003, serving close to seventy children ages four through fifth grade. A highlight of the school is our theme-based instruction. Often selected from the social studies and the sciences, themes offer opportunities for understanding the hows and whys of things, allow children to come to grips with many topics that are often reserved for the older grades, and provide inspiration for expression in the arts.
If you are a prospective family for the 2020-2021 school year or an interested educator who would like to see the children and teachers in action, we look forward to hosting you on our campus. Please call us at 206 678 3723 or email with questions. To apply, please fill out our online application form.
